Weleda Skin Food

O

Hi lovely peeps
It's been a while but I'm back on the blogging train and what better way to start than with the amazing Weleda Skin Food. I've known about Weleda for a while, I went to a Steiner School and if you cut yourself or bruise yourself and you went to the sick bay, me being my clumsy self used to frequent the sick bay, the lovely nurse would apply Weleda arnica cream. Back then it was like a magical cream that made everything feel better. So when discovering this little beauty in one of my Birchbox beauty box's it all came flooding right back, and after discovering Victoria Beckham was a fan too, I was chuffed to bits to try it!
Weleda are a German company and their moto is -in harmony with nature and the human being.
Weleda Skin Food is a deep-penetrating replenishing skin repair cream for dry patches of skin and for added winter protection. You can use it as a barrier cream, it's great for eczema and i've been using it on a scar I had on my leg and now you can hardly see it! It really a magic cream. Contains extracts of soothing chamomile and calendula, wild pansy and a blend of enriching oils and waxes. It has a beautiful flowery smell, with a deep essential oil aroma. It provides a fine protective barrier against the ravages of wind and weather.
Great for heat rash too!! You can literally use it for everything !
I've been using it on my décolleté and I've been thinking about how to describe this for a while but I've had fairly dry patches, although you can't  see it but to touch its a little scaly?? Makes be sound like a beauty, but since using Skin Food Its completely gone and feels so smooth. Its so rich and oily, feels so nourishing, I can see this being a must have for a while! Birchbox sell the full size of 75ml for £9.95, also Weleda have their own site, where you'll find tons of amazing products. Imagine my delight when in this months Birchbox Oatmeal Shampoo from Weleda was staring back at me! Stay tuned for that review.

Bronze Ambition Fake Dont Bake.

Now we all need a bit of colour in our lives over the winter period unless your going for the goth look of course, but for me I need a little bit of help on my pasty limbs.
I discovered this Fake Tan in the summer, when I was kindly sent a free sample.
And from then on, I have been hooked.

The website is where you can buy this product www.bronze-ambition.com with products starting from a bargainous £1.99

Now your usual appliance of fake tan should be exfoliate, moisturise and then apply tan. With this technique the tan works perfectly with absolutely no streaks.

But one day I was feeling a little lazy, and just applied it straight to my body without the preparation and to my surprise, again no streaks. The creamy texture almost acts as a moisturiser and in my opinion was just as good with no preparation.
Bronze Ambition

Bronze Ambition have many other products too and in the summer I use the Dark Tan.
I would highly recommend this Fake Tan, considering I would normally buy fake tan for no less than £10 to £15 pounds. Usually L'oreal sublim bronze was my tan of choice but not anymore.
I bought bucket loads of this Tan and usually give a few out to mates for them to try!! That's how much I love it and at this price you simply cant go wrong.
They also do Instant Tan Makeup, which is great for topping up for a night out.
Can you tell I love this!!!
Check out the website above and give it a try, also if you like their Facebook page you get a discount, so even more bargains.... yay!!
Let me know if any of you have tried this would love to hear your comments.

Kleenex Facial Cleansing Wipes

Hey There my Beauty's,

Kleenex Facial Cleansing wipes!!! Yes Kleenex have bought out some wipes and I bloody love em!
They were on offer in my local Morrisons (love a bargain) so I decided to try them out.
They were 2 packs for £3.00, but usually retail for about £3.00 per pack.

The smell is pretty neutral as they are for sensitive skin, so not perfumed. I have super sensitive skin, especially round my eyes, like most of us, the eyes are always an issue when picking wipes, I for one cant bear wipes that make my eyes sting.(I'm sure no one enjoys it but you know what I mean)  They are mega thick wipes! On the pack it says quilted and I would quite agree with that. Ive taken a picture to try and show you the thickness.

They are a great wipe! It really feels like you having a good cleanse with these as they are so thick its like cleaning your face with a flannel. Rather than the flimsy wipes you get. They left my skin feeling really fresh and clean. And found that 2 wipes (I always use at least 3) was enough to get off even a full face of party make up.
As you can see from the photo they have these little pocket type things in them, and although the photo doesn't do them just they look much more substantial than a normal run of the mill wipe.

So all in all I highly recommend these wipes and they will be added to my beauty regime and feature heavily in my beauty must haves!!

BARGAIN BUYS

I adore TK MAXX for everything clothes, shoes and homewares, but what I especially like is there little towers of gifts and beauty items, dotted about the shop floor and on my weekly visit with the hubby (told you I loved the place) I found these little beauties and just had to share.

Double pack of falsies. A French Manicure set and the other set have gold and brown and orange colourful tips. Not that I get to wear nails these days at work but maybe when I get some days off and can give them a whirl. The nails themselves are quite thick and of a decent quality, You know you can tell the really cheap and nasty ones are only going to last you half a day, if that. These ones feel quite strong in the squidge test, so I'll look forward to trying them out. Also great for stocking fillers.
Stay Tuned for more Bargain Buys.

We Love Glamour!!

As you all know I love a bargain and what better than on Decembers issue of Glamour magazine.
A snip at £2, especially when Nails Inc Nail Varnish is firmly stuck on the front. 4 different colours to collect and to stop myself from buying 4 copies, I spent about 30 mins in Morrisons deciding my favorite. After much delibaration I chose Motcomb Street. In the supermarket light it looked very dark almost black but I could see another colour in it. Looking through the plastic celephane of the magazine and the little box it was in, I was that intrigued that decided this was the one I was taking home and inspecting further.
And i was right, in some lights it looks green and in others blue.
Ive taken 2 pics one with a flash and one without but I cant get a picture of it looking green the light and the camera just cant pick up what my eyes can see, I hope its not just me and other fellow bloggers can see the green otherwise its time to go to specsavers.

As you can see the colour is quite different with the flash.
This picture only has 2 coats on the nail, I think it could do with a 3rd coat. But then the darker you go, you tend to loose the colours in it and ends up looking like another black nail varnish. I for one really like this colour for winter.

So already extremly delighted with my new cheap cheap cheap Nails Inc Nail Varnish I decide to have a flick through the magazine with my cuppa.
Now I love a free sample to was chuffed to bits when I cam across this little beauty wedged neatly between the fashion pages...........
Maxfactor FaceFinity All day flawless
This sample comes in the Natural shade 50. This foundation claims to be a 3 in 1. Primer, concealer and foundation.
Now I have done a review on Maxfactor foundations before when I was doing research for Savvyme and picked to test the Ageless Elixir foundation. I did like that foundation at first, but after a few uses found it became greasy, although I soon managed to avoid that just by using a little less.
I like the coverage of the FaceFinity. I can definately see the concealer side to it as I use it on my face, (i'm applying with a Benefit foundation brush) I also like the coverage of the foundation and think it gives an even glow over the skin. I like a matt look so I use one of my faves (featured in an earlier post) Boots Natural Collection Loose Powder, and found that I didnt need much of it which is a bonus as I dont like the caked foundation/powder look. I wore it on a night out and after perusing the pictures of said night (we wont talk about it too much (ouch)) my make up looked pretty good.Ive also worn it today, and its still keeping a good coverage. Now like most Maxfactor Foundations I would say this has got to be in the region of £10.99-12.99 ish, do I like it that much to buy it? I'll let you know when I next go shopping for foundation. But an all round good product.

Boudoir Prive Beauty Box November Tried and Tested!

Ok so when I received this box, I said I was going to attempt a video, but I'm too nervous so maybe I'll save it for the next box.
I know I'm a bit late with the Box review but I don't see alot of point in doing the review without testing the products and telling you my thoughts so this months first item is...

Item 1 Dead Sea Spa Magic Silky Smooth Body Lotion.

Ok so the little card that comes with it says: Dead sea minerals are renowned for their therapeutic and cosmetic properties The creamy and silky body lotion will leave your skin feeling deeply hydrated and nourished.
So I had a shower, exfoliated and shaved my legs ready for the trial out of the lotion.
First of all the smell is not overpowering which for a body lotion is good. It has a subtle flowery smell but not a granny flowery smell, quite fresh and plant like (if that makes sense) abit Aloe Veray. It says to apply to damp skin. When applying it rubs in very nicely and sinks into the skin, and left my skin feeling really nourished and soft, overall quite impressed by this, I'm a bit of a moisturiser freak and fairly particular about what I use but I would use this again. I was really impressed by the sample size too, its 50ml so plenty for 2 good moisturising sessions. The actually retail size is 350ml and the price is £7.70 which I think is fairly reasonable.

Item 2 Korres Wild Rose 24 Hour Moisturiser.

A 24 hour moisturiser and brightening cream. The wild rose oil is a natural source of vitamin C and helped repair fine lines and uneven skin tone. The combination of grape seed and phytic acid work together to maintain a youthful complexion.
You just use as a normal face moisturiser after cleansing. At the ripe age of 32 I'm extremely happy to me receiving creams to make me look younger.Ive been using this for a couple of days now i really like it, it isn't too thick like some moisturises and the rose smell is lush.I do think it has given my skin a brightness, but other than that there really hasn't been much to notice in terms of uneven skin tone. I'll keep using it til its gone and let you know if i experience and changes to my skin.  The sample is 10 ml which is a fair amount and the full size product is £19.00 for 40ml.

Item 3 NEW Rahua Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner

Create thick, glossy and bouncy hair with 100% natural voluminous shampoo and conditioner. The lemongrass and green tea remove excess oils from the hair, whilst Jojoba adds moisture and nourishment.
Ok so I haven't tried this yet, purely because I have really big voluminous hair already, and I recently used a body conditioner from Goldwell the other day (from the feel unique box) and it was awful it coated my hair, it felt like I hadn't washed it out properly and thought I hadn't until my house mate came out the shower and had the same thing. But I will be trying it so I'll let you know when I do.
We got 2 samples of the shampoo which I like as you can have a proper test of it one sachet is never enough. It also came in a nice white organza bag. And its quite a pricey shampoo and £27.00 for 275mls of Shampoo and £28.50 for 275mls of conditioner.

Item 4 Vinies Ayurvedas Soul Luminous Skin Mask

Featured on vouge.co.uk, This mask is supposed to enhance complexion. It contains mint leaf, licorice root and magnolia extract. It says its suitable for all skin types but seen a few of the bloggers I follow have had some trouble with it, saying they came out in rashes or redness. It says to apply to face and neck and let the ingredients penetrate for 3 to 5 mins, then rinse. Personally I love a good facial scrub ( see beauty must haves post) so was excited to use this and as you can see from the picture we received 2 sample pots of 15 gms and considering the full size product is 40gms for £32.85 that's a pretty good sample. It smells really strong, and looks like curry in a pot but nevertheless a good gritty scrub. When applying it it does have a kind of stingy fresh feeling which I imagine is the mint coming through. It does make the skin feel hot but once rinsed leaves you face feeling really fresh. As I said I know a few people had problems with the irritation of the skin with this product but I was fine with it, but suggest that if you are to use this product do a little skin test first.

Item 5 STUDIOMAKEUP Rich Hydration Lipstick Really Red

I got this lipstick in Really Red, I'm assuming everyone got the same colour as the red comes on the picture on the little card menu thingy. So this is our full size product and I have to say at first I was a bit disappointed as I font really suit or like a red lipstick on myself that much. Have only really used a red lipstick for dressing up. But after trying it on I actually was quite surprised. I've taken a picture but I'm not sure it really it shows the pinky pigment in it, which I think is why I like it, as most red lippys I have tried have an orange pigment. This full size product is worth £12.25.

So considering the box cost £10 a month its well worth the price, and so far I haven't been disappointed with any of the boxes. December sees the arrival of Jolie Box who have merged with Boudoir Prive and I can not WAIT to show you the contents of that!!! its immense so come back soon to check it out!!!!

Models Own Misty Grey

Hey Y'all
I do love a nice matt nail varnish, so when I saw this in Boots, I wanted it instantly, but alas I was Christmas shopping with the hubby, and when I picked it up he gave me that look!! (you know the one, the, we are not shopping for you, you should be ashamed of yourself look) So I put it back down. The next day I was sifting through ASOS sale section and found the Misty Grey in the sale for £4 and as hubby was no where to be seen, it jumped straight in the shopping basket. So here it is..
I love the colour and in the winter I tend to wear alot of grey, so matches perfectly with my winter outfits. What I also like about it, is it has no other colours in it, no hint of anything, no shimmer, just grey. This photo was taken last Friday, right after I painted them, its Wednesday today and its time to take it off for the next colour, but also don't think I can go another day without it looking trampy, few little chips, but I think that an acceptable amount of time. To get this colour in the photo above I used three coats.
