This Weeks Beauty Must Have

Hey Lovelies..
This weeks Beauty Must Have, is an bargainous item, Boots Natural Collection Loose Powder.
This little beauty is a penny pinching £1.99.
I do like a good powder, but when I'm trying to save some pennies, (Christmas and all that jazz) this is a fabulous replacement. It comes in various shades, my choice is warm translucent. As I have fairly greasy skin, I'm not a massive fan of the dewy look, so like to add some powder to make myself look less shiny. I like a light coverage, not keen on the 'caked' look, I use a big brush around my eyes and a powder puff for the rest of my face. I really like this, 1. I love the price and 2. It lasts pretty much all day, unless 've had a particularly hard stressful rubby face day. And this little pot last a good 2 months. Gotta love a bargain. Let me know your baragin buys!!

Garnier Skin Naturals Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream.

Hello Lovelies

So I was lucky enough to get a free sample of this Garnier Skin Naturals Miracle Skin Perfector, through the many freebie sites I subscribe to, it comes in a little pack with 3 sachet samples and a £1 off voucher.
I used to love to paste my face in foundation when I was younger, cake it right on to hide all those teenage blemishes. I think the turning point for me was my wedding, as I love doing my make up and never like it when someone else does it, I opted to do my own wedding make up. I wanted a real natural look for my wedding, so ended up taking a trip to Benefit, and having a big spend up, this included the You Rebel foundation and Coralista both of which are my absolute favourite items but a little pricey for everyday. With the You Rebel foundation you can wear it on its own to create a dewy look or add some powder for the matt look, this is my preferred look, I tend to think dewy looks greasy, as I do have fairly greasy skin. So when this little beauty popped through my door, I ripped it open immediately and tested it out. Its very similar to the You Rebel in regards to the non caked look, it give a really nice even finish. Its lovely and light and with my must have powder (see next post) it gives a good light coverage without looking too much. The BB is short for Blemish Balm, its a hybrid product which combine the benefits of skincare and make up in one. Use it as a primer or on its own its a very versatile product and one which I will be adding permanently to my make up bag, as its retail price is £9.99. and with my £1 of voucher its quite a saving from the You Rebel. Let me know if any of you have tried a BB cream and what you think!!!

Emma Hardie Amazing Face

So my housemate and I decided that we loved the beauty boxes but there was no point in getting the same one, so I went for Boudoir Prive, (see older posts) and she opted for the Feel Unique Box.
The thing I like about the Feel Unique Box is that it comes right at the beginning of the month. So as I'm still waiting for my November Boudoir Prive Box, Ive been sampling the goodies in the Feel Unique Box,
And I've come across this gem... Emma Hardie Amazing Face. This is what they say about it!!
A luxurious botanical cleansing balm, so pure, silky and hydrating it doubles as a soothing and softening mask and universal rescue balm. Moringa seeds, Wild Sea Fennel and Vitamin E balance, purify and minimise the appearance of open pores, whilst a blend of uplifting Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extracts combine with calming Jasmine and Rose to revitalise dull, dry, dehydrated and mature skins, leaving the complexion clean, soft and exquisitely fragrant. Removes all traces of face and eye make-up

You take a small amount in your had rub it together to make a creamy paste, then apply the cream all over the face rubbing it in, then use the facial cloth that comes with it to rub in and wash off.
I love this product!! After applying the small amount that it says to use, I felt it was enough and using the cloth which has a sort of velvety toweling on one side and a muslin on the other, felt great on my skin and left it feeling really clean and fresh. It also has a nice smell to it, you can really smell the jasmine and the rose. It is great for removing make up. Overall I'm really impressed with this and now just have to save up for the full size one which is about £34 for 100ml, but if you check out the Feel Unique website you can buy it in a set and also get a free gift. Check it out!!! Also get in touch if you tried any other Emma Hardie products I'd love to know your thoughts.

My Beauty Must Haves

I know we all have our fave products that we reach for without even thinking about. Every week I'm going to show you a few of my MUST HAVES and why I like them soooooo much...

Firstly Garnier Summer Body Sun Kissed Look.
I love this moisturiser!!  Ive always been a fan of the Sun Kissed look moisturisers, but this one is my favorite and the amazing fresh apricot scent is just yummy.
Its great for using as an after sun in the summer but also great for keep a bit of colour through the winter, without the orange look. It has a slight shimmer in it to, everyone loves a bit of sparkly in their life, especially in these dull winter months.
Most supermarkets sell this, and alot of the time its on offer, I bought this one the other day form Wilkinsons as they had them reduced to £2... Bargain.

My next beauty must have is a good facial scrub, I tend to you the St Ives Apricot Blemish Scrub as I like the grittyess of this scrub. Recently we've had a lady pop up on our road that is selling Avon.
So when the little book came through I couldnt help having a flick through, I came across this scrub.
Avon Pore Penetrating Invigorating Scrub. I love the texture of this scrub, the consistency is like really fine sand, which as you can imagine is great for a good scrub, and its infused with eucalyptus, so not only does it give you a good intense exfoliation with the tiny gritty formula it also leaves your face feeling really fresh and ingy.
I cant remember the exact price of the scrub it between £3-£4, which is a little cheaper than the St Ives one but alot small tube.
Let me know your Beauty Must Haves!!!!!

Boudoir Prive Beauty Box October Tried and Tested!

So here is October Boudoir Prive Beauty Box, Ive tried and tested all the products and this is what I think.

Item 1 CETUEM Illuminating Mask & Creme de Lite
According to the Boudoir Prive box this has been listed in the top 100 Beauty Brands in Harpers Bazaar.
Two products from the same range, one and wash off mask and the other a morning and night cream.
How to use it: The mask: Apply thin layer and leave on for 10-15minutes. The creme: Apply morning and night, massage well into face and neck.
I liked both these products, the mask left my face feeling soft and fresh and the cream feels like satin on the skin, its almost like it leaves a film over your skin, but not in a bad greasy way.
Although I liked these products I probably wouldn't buy them as they are a bit out of my price range.
Illuminating Mask £25.00 50g (not sure if this is an error but this is what the booklet says)
Creme de Lite £45.00 50ml

Item 2 Korres Quince Body Butter.
I love a good body butter so was chuffed to bits when I found this in the box.
I have received the Quince Body Butter but some of you may received the Citrus Body milk featured in the booklet.
The quince body butter smells lovely, I've had a Quince jelly served with a cheese board once, it was nice but that is my only run in with Quince until now.
It contains a combination of vegetable oils, and absorbs very nicely.
Nice size product, not full size but a good size.
Quince Body Butter £9.50 150ml

Item 3 Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme.
This is a pre shampoo conditioner. This range is used with only natural ingredients.  Its an oil but seems to crystallise and solidify when cold. For best results leave on hair over night. I used it and left it on for approx 4 hours before washing my hair. I know I go on a bit about smells but I think smells are pretty important if your going to use the products. So this smells lovely, it does remind me of something but I cant put my finger on it.
That's no help to anyone, so I would describe it as a musky oily scent if that makes any sense.
My hair was noticeably soft and manageable after using it, I will continue to use this as I do really like it but not sure I would buy it. The sample is 25ml
Price: £25.00 95ml

Item 4  Memo Paris Les Echappees
As you know from my last posts that I'm not a lover of perfume samples in the Beauty Box.
And this is the reason why!! I normally take quite a while choosing a perfume.
This one is horrible!! I think it smells more like a aftershave is very musky and spicy. It has a little story in it which doesn't make sense to me but has something about being Arabic in it, which I can totally understand as it does remind me of my visit to Morocco. The strong scents and spices of the souks.
As much as that is a wonderful experience condensed into a perfumee is just not for me.
£69 for 30ml and £105 for £75.00

Item 5 Rose and Co Rose Petal Salve.
This is a full size product and I love this company. My Mother in Law bought me a set of three mini salves a couple of years ago and they are great you can use them for a lip balm as Vaseline for your eyes, brow bones or mix it with a shimmer powder for a glow. So versatile
Lovely rose smell to this one and feels great as a balm for the Winters months.
LOVE IT!!!
Price: £5.00 for 20g

Item 6 Studio Make up Liner Styler Pen Black
This is another full size items, and although make up is very personal its great to receive a classic make up essential. This liner as a great felt tip to it and seems to little little encourgement when applying. It glides on smoothly and evenly, something I've rarely found with a felt tip, as it always needs a good shake or a dab on the mirror before applying. Really like this item and its found its way into my permanent make up bag. YAY
£12.99 for 1.1ml

Also contained in this months box was an Invite from  RMK Skintuner, a new range. The invite is to Selfridges to experience the skin bar and a skin consultation as well as a goody bag. I unfortunately couldn't make the dates but thought that was a nice touch and I look forward to more things like that.

Boudoir Prive Box September Tried and Tested!!

Right so I know its really late on the reveal of the Boudoir Prive Box, from September, but Ive actually sampled all of the items in the box now so I'm going to tell you what I think.

Item 1 Tropic Skincare, Body Smooth
This product is from the Skin Care Range from Susan Ma from this years Apprentice. The range is 100 % natural. Body smooth is enriched with nourishing Sea Minerals, Jojoba and Macadamia Oil.
How to use it: This is what it says on the Boudoir Prive booklet that comes with every box:
Rub into dry hands for 20 seconds, rinse with warm water and pat dry.
This product smells devine, really tropical (clue is in the title) and has an oily gritty scrub consistancey.
I really liked this product the smell is great and stays in your skin and I found my hands to be noticable smooth and softer than usual. I dont really suffer from dry skin, so this product wouldnt really be for me bit can definately see the benefits from it.
Did I mention I liked the smell... A lot. The full size product is £19.95 for 200ml
I don't think I would buy this product as I think its a bit expensive and as I don't suffer from dry skin its a bit redundant on me. But a great product none the less.

Item 2 Agent Provocateur L'Agent
Now I'm not a massive fan of perfume samples in the Beauty Box, as its quite a personal thing and I know I'm not the only one that feels this way, but this one is a fairly expensive one.
I actually like this one it reminds of Coco Chanel, but slighty lighter and fruiter, but definate Coco undertones.
£70.00 100ml £50.00 50ml

Item 3 Macadamia Hair Repair.
This product is a full size product. Its an oil treatment for the hair. Suitable for all hair types.
Its says that overnight treatment will get best results. I left the oil on my hair for about 4 hours.
It again smells great and my hair was noticeably much softer afterwards. I liked it so much Ive continued to use it and have now run out. So I really liked it and would consider buying it.
10ml is £5.95 or 125ml £29.95

Boudoir Prive October Box

Item 4 Cargo Cosmetics Boogie Nights Eye Pencil Blue.
This item usually comes in a set of five but I.m not sure what the other colours are.
This one is a blue pencil with silver glitter in it.
I'm not a huge fan of glittery eye make up unless your at a Christmas Party, but I tried it out anyway.
I have to say I didn't think that it went on very well and had to go over the same bit over and over again to produce some kind of colour. Even after that you couldn't really tell I had a blue shade on my eye. So I'd say it was very subtle.
As it is a set of five I would say that it is good value for money, but I would have to see the other colours.
Pack of Five for £13.00

Item 5 Zoya Nail Polish in Jem
This product is a full size product.
Jem is a reddy purple pink shimmery colour. I'm not keen on that colour on my nails, so it was relegated to a toe nail polish.
I tried it on my toes, I actually really liked it, good coverage and I only needed to coats and it looked great and lasted without chips until I took it off for the next colour. This product came with the Smoke and Mirrors Swatch which was great to see the other products in the collection. I have to say I know we all didn't get the same colours in my box and I'm very jealous as I would have loved to get one of the other darker ones like Tao or Codie.
7.5ml £9.95

Item 6 Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream
So apparently this eye cream is used by HRH Kate Middleton and Sienna Miller. So the booklet guide says to apply round and under eyes at night.
It is a nice light eye cream. Not think or oily when on, which I like. It says it reduced puffiness and dark circles and I do need that, have used it for a couple of days, I've not noticed a massive difference but I will persevere with it, as if its good enough for our future queen its good enough for me. Although I wont be buying this product at £90.00 for 15ml...Ouch

Item 7 Mai Couture Blot and Bronze
This is a little extra thing they chucked in, its not listed on  the booklet, It comes with 2 sheets of blotting paper and you use it like normal face blotting paper, but instead of being blank it has a bronzer on it. Great product for slipping in your handbag on a night out for those awkward shiny moments.

So there is the October Boudoir Prive Box, Hope you like my findings, let me know if you got anything different or what you liked about the samples....

Free Nails Inc Polish Glamour Magazine.

I'm absolutely loving these colours that are out at the moment for this Autumn/Winter. So when I heard that Glamour Magazine had a Nails Inc freebie on it, I hot footed it down to my local WHSmiths, only to discover everyone else had done the same, and one lonesome Glamour Mag left, in a colour I already had, so next the supermarkets, Tesco had completely sold out, so Waitrose was my life saver, as they had a few to chose from and had the colour I had previously been eyeing up.
So introducing..... Nails Inc Basil Street..

This is after 3 coats.

and I love it, go grab yourself a Glamour Magazine its Decembers Issue so should have time to grab one.
4 Colours to choose from.

Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish BEIGE BABE

Hello Loverlies!!
Sunday I went shopping, and was happy to discover that Boots were doing a 3 for 2 on all Rimmel Products.
So I bought my essentials and my third item was, Rimmel pro in Beige Babe.
I love these sabley, minky, mushrooms colours for this Autumn and Winter.
This is the Rimmel blurb...
Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish - Professional finish effortlessly! With new Maxi Brush, for a mistake-free application. Up to 10 days colour.
The new maxi brush makes it so easy to apply, and gives mistake-free application
I like this maxi brush alot, it does make for a much easier and mistake free application and was the first time i'd used this kind of brush and was very impressed.
To get this colour I applied 3 coats. so far Ive only had it on a day and no chips at the moment but im not sure it'll last the 10 days it says it will and the anti fade colour system will also have to be tested out, so what i'll do is after a couple of days of wearing this i'll take another picture and test the theory.
I love this colour i think its a great everyday colour but will also look fab for evenings, Its a kind of Chocolate milk colour ( I think thats the best way to describe it) and i like the shine on it.
There are 23 shades available in this range.
And as Boots are doing a 3 for 2 on all Rimmel products get yourself down there.
